Really like the atmosphere of the original, wanted to keep the essence, including that voice! I added extra warmth throughout, to remind listeners of the sun. With new bass, percussion and floating arps…are you flying yet?!

Funky road (Doctrus original)

Wanted to create a funky jazzy track and blend the bass played by both the wonderful Anna Sentina and Brandon Eugene Owens (Samples courtesy of the Converse Rubber Tracks Sample Library). I’m influenced by many, predominately Electronica artists. The result is an Electronica, Jazz and Funk fusion.

Really like the original track, so this was a difficult one to remix. I thought I would go for some softer sounds with added dynamics. Added new melody and new baseline, but kept the bounce!

This track was inspired from samples provided by Astro Nautico (Converse Rubber Tracks Sample Library). My music writing tends to be very organic and abstract, influenced by many genres, but outputs are often Electronica in nature. Really like how this merged into a watery theme with sonar like sounds and ripping guitars. This came out as a popular vote winning original track from me… Enjoy!
