Really like the original track, so this was a difficult one to remix. I thought I would go for some softer sounds with added dynamics. Added new melody and new baseline, but kept the bounce!

This track was inspired from samples provided by Astro Nautico (Converse Rubber Tracks Sample Library). My music writing tends to be very organic and abstract, influenced by many genres, but outputs are often Electronica in nature. Really like how this merged into a watery theme with sonar like sounds and ripping guitars. This came out as a popular vote winning original track from me… Enjoy!

This song was written entirely from scratch, using a midi keyboard, VSTs in Ableton Live 9, and my own recorded samples. …It was written specifically for this competition! I’ve gone for a fun and slightly funky summer song, with a catchy beat.

I’ve used a fusion of Latin styles, with a gentle dance beat. Wanted to keep Debi Nova’s original vocals, as it is a really beautiful tune. The percussion is a mix of Reggaeton and Salsa. I spoke with Debi online, she liked what I had done, not sadly no win this time 🙂
